Aristea Primary School

Aristea Primary School believes in the holistic development of children. Leadership development forms part of this. Learners are democratically elected annually as Aristea Primary School's learner leaders. Only grade 7 learners can be eligible for this annually. The 4 main leaders are elected from the elected learners.
Learner leaders are taken on an annual camp to develop teamwork and leadership. Aspects such as learner affairs, fundraising and charity are discussed and plotted on the calendar. Learners are divided into committees to optimize the workload and exposure.
In the Foundation Phase, leadership qualities are already developed early on by appointing class captains from Grade 1 to Grade 3. In Grade 3, 20 monitors are appointed over each term.
